Abducted?!?!? Sorry to Disappoint You…

Abducted by aliens??? No. Run over by a Mac truck??? No. MIA??? No, again. So for all of you that missed me or were worried, it is none of the above. We just got back from a week long cruise. It was a mini-vacation to regain some sanity after the first marking period.

It was a vacation with mixed results, though. My wife and kids had a wonderful time on every island and stop we made. As for me, the story was not quite the same. The first two days were great, but then I started feeling bad. After much prompting, not nagging, but prompting from my wife, I went to the infirmary to see the doctor. Great!!!! Sinusitis!!! My favorite of all ailments has come to visit me at the most inconvenient time.

So, I ended up sleeping for three out of the seven days and missed St. Thomas, Grand Tirk and a day at sea. :-( Oh, well, I had been to St. Thomas before, so it was no big deal for me there. But everyone told me how lovely Grand Tirk was and all of the pools, beach, and fun that I missed. Now I go back to school tomorrow to see what my wonderful classes did while I was away.

Oh, well, at least I got to enjoy some time with the kids and wife. We had family dinners every night in which the wait staff waited on us hand and foot. It is so nice to not have to cook or worry about what to make. It is also nice to have a menu where everyone has something they like. Kenz even tried escargot and loved it. Oh, did I mention lobster as well, yes; it is one of the wonderful aspects of cruising.

Don’t fret; I am back and almost in one piece. I will see if I can get some of the pictures to post. LOL Besides, I have to stand up now because I feel like I am still on the ship. Thanks for all of your concern, but no worries, I am not dead or worse. Look forward to catching up on everyone else’s blogs. Take care.

glad you guys had a nice time. although you so should not have let a little sick keep you in....

regardless, i will not preach. hope this recharged your batteries, and you are ready to do battle again.

my one friend keeps telling me to take a cruise, but i have that whole sea sick thing. she tried to get me to take one instead of disney for Christmas. I'd rather just fly where i need to go.
