Proud Pirate

Hey gang, okay, here is another bright side entry. Thank you for all the well wishers for my back. Sadly, it will plague me the rest of my life, but sitting on ice and downing ibuprofen seems to do the trick after 4 or 5 days.

I am a very proud pirate!!!! For a while, I was truly depressed about my kids not getting it. Well, as of late, I think the light bulb has turned on. The kids are starting to get it and are really showing signs of improvement.

Even my real troublesome kids are starting to show me they are getting it. Maybe it is the fact that I actually show them that I do care. Sadly the majority of my kids are from single family or split homes. My one class of thirty plus kids, I think there are two that have a regular family at home.

We are working on drawings now and I think the hands on is what is turning them around. See the majority of the kids that I get are the types that aren’t performers in the major subjects. The hands on stuff is what they need.

Anyway, I did look up mid-life crisis and many of the things I am feeling are part of it. So, this is a huge pick me up. Chin up everyone!!! Be proud of my Pirates!!!
