Why Is It?
Yes, I know it has been a very long time since I have entered any type of journal. Sorry. Life has been extremely hectic for me, but some what in a good way. Although, not everything has been coming up roses for all of the people I care about.
Why is it seem that when things are going well for someone, another person is down on their luck? A very good friend of mine seems to have taken a down turn while life has been going well up until the past two weeks. The reason I ask is that usually my friend is on the up side of the equation and I am the one on the bottom.
Hmmm. Well, let me update you as to what has been happening over the past two months or so. To start, as I said, we bought a new house. So, it goes without saying that we have been unpacking boxes, trying to get the house in order, and just trying to get a normal scheme of life going.
On top of trying to set up the house, we have been going out camping on several trips. We have made three trips to Fort Wilderness which is Disney’s campground. It is so very nice and as I tell Nikki, it is the only time that I actually like anything to do with Disney. The kids love it because there is so much to do.
We also have made a trip to Ft. Lauderdale area. That was a nice trip as well because we went to Lion Country Safari. The younger kids loved all the animals, but the older ones, well, they were just not as happy. They had a good time though swimming in the pool and stuff. We also went to Fort Desoto which is a campground right on the beach. It was so very nice. My good friend and his family went with us and it was very relaxing. We are heading back to Fort Wilderness this weekend again. So…it is just so nice to be a family together.
Right now, the only problem I am having is with my school. There are a lot of things going on that I really can’t talk about here. Let us just say that I am considering my opportunities and seeing what I might be able to do. There is another school that I am looking into which is in a different county, so maybe things are better there.
Okay, time is growing short for me as well. Soccer season starts for me next week with the high school, so I will keep you up to date on this. On top of that, I agreed to coach my step-daughter’s team. They are in dire need of coaches and I agreed to do it. Hey, she will only be 6 once in her life. I am looking forward to all of it, though. The kids keep me young and it is always fun because there is never a dull moment.
Alright, I will close for now. Again, sorry that I have been gone for so long, I will try better. I am not dead, just so very busy. I will start updating you on soccer 07-08. Have fun.
