Vacation (Part II)
Well, I am sure you have been waiting with bated breath for the second half of our trip. Okay, I am kidding myself on that one, but I am going to bore the heck out of you anyway. I want to get this down before I lose it.
We got to Illinois on Monday of last week, which went well. It was a nice area which I wasn’t expecting. It had that little town flavor that I haven’t seen in some time. I truly enjoyed the smallness of it all. On Wednesday, we went into Chicago, again, which was nice. I haven’t been to a big city in a while either. We went to Navy Pier which is a huge mall, food area, and rides for the kids. Then we went to Millennium Park to walk around and enjoy the scenery. Myself, I was in awe of the architecture. It reminded me of home, but it was sill newer due to the fire. Lastly, I spent my last day working on a computer system to get it networked for the people we stayed with.
Now comes the hard part, because we were planning on stopping last night, but when I got to Georgia, there was no room at the inn. So, finally, we got to the last big city in Ga at around 3, so I said the heck with it and drove all the way home in 24 hours. I am exhausted and if this doesn’t make sense, I am sorry. I am running on fumes. But, all in all the vacation was fun and it helped me to clear my mind and think about things that I really needed to dig deeper into.
So, I am going to take a nap and see if I can wake up again. Right now, I just want to sleep forever. Take care.
