Game Over

Well, the season is over, but it was full of memories. We had our semi-final game last night and it did not go well. To start, it was raining and cold since a cold front went through. Okay, for most of you, it was warm, but for someone who has been in Florida too long, 48 degrees is cold.

We lost 5-1 against Southeast. Southeast went undefeated this year except for one tie, which was against us earlier in the year. Needless to say, we did not play our best. They scored three goals which they would not have if our sweeper had gotten the ball out from in front of the goal. Then on offense, we should have scored 3 goals if we had crashed the net after shots were made.

On the bright side, I have seen so much improvement in all of the players. It has been a fun ride that I wouldn’t have traded for anything. Next year, I plan on being a bit more aggressive in our games. We were just learning about each other and seeing where every one fit in the scheme of things. Since I am getting most of my players back, we will just build upon where we left off.

Now, in my next entry, we will talk about Kenz as I promised. It is a long story and I may have more of a conclusion to it after tomorrow anyway. I am going to print up an email that she sent me and give it to her mom and just tell her mom to read it and that we need to talk. As I said, we will talk more soon.
